  frustrations of race luck
I was all over McLaren. I told my daughter all week I would go heavy on McLaren and rule the world big time. But of course when they seemed to **** in practice two I changed my mind. Oh well.

Bad days make the good ones better. I knew they were probably working the add-ons but Norris fooled me with his friday interview of complaints etc. Sometimes I think I would do better without watching practice.

Onward and upward.

Painful race for almost everyone probably this weekend with McLaren being pretty woeful compared to their form in the previous few races. I'm sure most would rather have a race next weekend to bounce back with, rather than the summer break to mull on it!

"Speaking of bad luck, I have a hint for you all... in case you set up your teams later than me, go and check what I did in Laubrechen team and throw all components you see there out of your teams."

Don't say I didn't warn you...

Another hint, always check and double-check what you actually did. For example if your ERS goes into 6th race and you still have 10 points left and don't want to risk losing any and decide to discharge 5 points in each of your next two cup duels, you don't want to wake up seeing you actually recharged it and will end up with 16 points on ERS before race 7, risk losing your duel and being forced to use overtake button in next race that you wanted to save for knockout stage.

frustrations of race luck and even worse: stupidity
This is just a suggestion. Do not make last second changes. Over the years i have lost points on about 90% of my last second changes. I just lost five bonus pts on my match team due to a last second change and am set to lose by about that amount. Tears lol

@jobber Thanks for the hint... if only I knew before it was as easy as scoring 187 points.

GaKra
Thanks! I'm glad that the Option tyres worked out okay, and that my inability to hit a qualifying pick didn't cost me this time.

Now you know what you have to do; just score 187 points and the trophy will be on its way to you...probably.

Some great scores from your team that race GaKra. I wish I'd gone even bigger on McLaren than I had but got spooked by thinking the Hungaroring wouldn't suit their car!

Page 1 of the World Championship has plenty of big names on it now, plus some less-decorated players looking to break through and win big!

Okay, now I'm on the podium, but should 167 points not be enough to win?

Great job, jobber...

"We need violin music to start playing as we read Gakra complain about missing a podium! lol Poor guy only scored 147 pts."

I recommend the song "Eternally Part 2" by Karmakanic for such occasions.

frustrations of luck
We need violin music to start playing as we read Gakra complain about missing a podium! lol Poor guy only scored 147 pts.

I once had a match race many years ago. Perez was on his last lap and the only way I could win was if he crashed or broke down. I told my wife I need this Perez guy to break down now. Just then; yep he broke down. As I celebrated I thought of my opponent somewhere in the world bemoaning his bad luck.

Similarly I had great luck when Rosburg and Hamilton crashed and were each knocked out. I think that one was on the very first turn.
