  setuping for the big title
i wanna give the favorites some preasure.
frosti, whats going on, you are ahead your Expectations, we have still hundrets of teams challenging the top of the ranking, is that really enough? ;-)
gartenkralle, is that the right way to attack the top with a prime - points first - streak? ;-)
schumacher - i am conditioned to feel more danger because of the real count of your teams, which are on top - whats gooing on?

i think you all, all in general should try some special, something nobody would senseful do to create a better starting conditions for the second half of the season ;-)

bring on Austria.

setting up for the big title
back to Chris and Gakra and tyre strategy

Last yr i planned to still have option tyres for what would have been my last two match race playoffs which were the semi finals and finals. (I want to be clear i did not reach the semi final match this is hypothetical) I thought by then Mercedes would have figured things out and options would be winning so why run options so much early on when I knew they would lose the early races for sure.

Russell won for Mercedes one race too late for my strategy, but you can see it might make sense not to be running options early at all or that might be a huge blunder. It's all so fun!!!

This year i am running options more and just watch it will all go the other direction lol.

Some interesting comments. Early days still overall but personally, I'm doing worse than the high standards I set myself overall. So far, my appraisal is...

- World Championship: Poor. No teams in the top 100. 71 points from the top isn't awful but it's a fair gap, considering I've not done as well building budget as in previous years.

- Constructors: Fairly happy here. 14th and less than 20 points from the top. Pressure's on you here, being the early leader and with several high budget teams.

- Eliminator: Acceptable. I'm safely into the top 100, so I can get some options out of the way in the next race. Ok but not amazing on budget. Nailbiter for the likes of Schumacher, Keke and Hiensi, who need a good next race to get into the top 100.

- CRL: Poor. Missed out by a fair way and a fair way off of the lead in the Professional League. That said, my highest budget team is in it and I've got 4 options out of the way, so the gap could close. Lot of good names between myself and the top, including yourself, Alan and my Cup rival Rainer-Zufall.

- Cup: BAD. Got my first win finally but in a tough group, being 2 wins behind those in the playoff spots (and yet to have my round off) means I've got a mountain to climb. 6 matches left for me and I think to have a realistic chance of progressing, I need 5 wins. Heinz Prueller next is a big match. Looks like Schumacher's also had a slow start and needs to turn it around soon. Oh, and looking at the groups, I'd say group 5 is the true group of death!

Congrats, Chris! To answer your question, so far I cannot say if it will turn out to be the right strategy. What I can say is that so far it was not wrong.
I will do my best and if you can still beat me, it will be deserved, what else. So far I'm still a contender in all competitions, though, and still on strategy A.
